Hi guys,
After a long time out of blogging im back with a report on the Coasts regatta. Rode my motorbike down to the Souths and packed the boat and bags at 7am on Saturday morning and started off to Lake Illawarra.
Once we arrived and unpacked the boats I had a short sleep under my boat and then got down to Business … In my new capacity as president of vice I announced the Breiefing and got the show under way.
The first days racing was 8 building to 12-15 knots in the afternoon. We got three races underway where I managed to take a 5th, 5th and then disaster. After leading the race to the downwind leg the committee boat came to tell me I was disqualified from the heat for OCS.
falling back to 11th overall I was disappointed but knew Sunday would count! Slept 12 hours on saturday night to catch up on lost sleep during the working week and woke up fresh and pumped on what turned out to be a 15-18 knot NE day.
2 races were held with some serious racing between the top 5 guys. I managed a 4th and then pushed on in the second race for a bullet. A good result considering the apperance of Michael Leigh of Canada and Brett Beyer being present.
Now leading up to SIRS, Nationals, Sail Melbourne (Asia Pacs) and Worlds!!!
