Just a quick post.
Went for a cycle this morning to centannial park and back and pulled 6 laps. There was this guy in his 30’s in front of me and he was quick so I latched on about 2 bike lengths behind him and tried to hold. I started this on the 3rd lap and just couldn’t overtake him. I sprinted to get past him and he just sped up. He dropped me for a few minutes but then I caught up on the downhill\flat. Was an awesome little ‘ego’ race we had going and it pushed me for the morning which was good.
Rode 43kms and pretty happy with that. Going on a longer ride tomorrow with my mates which im looking forward to.
The good news on the sailing front is I got my claim form for a new hull to replace my damaged hull and I got a mention on the ISAF webpage as a ‘fast mover’ with my result at SIRS. Seems SIRS was golden and it has lifted my world ranking to 49th !!! first time in the top 50 !!!
After this note I have decided to campaign hard this year in Australia and aim for top 5 internationals and 1st aussie at every event. If I win Sail Melbourne I get on the AST with new criterea requirements !!! so all out at Sail Melbourne for results.
Anyway looking forward to the last 3 regattas of the season and will constantly update.
