Today was similar to the first day of racing in terms of direction, tide and coldddddd. Massive ups and downs in pressure and very important to lead into new wind shifts. Downwind you could come around into litterally 3 – 4 knots but then a 25 knot gust hit you unawares and scare the bejebus out of you. Observation was key.
TB and I had a close day, trading positions and keeping an eye on one another. It was good racing and we finished the day with a 2 and 3 each remaining on the same points difference as yesterday. The stand out was Colin and he got away from us in both races to win! impressive sailing by initiative.
Tomorrow is a lay day and im looking forward to taking a break and having a look around Hobart. Feeling strong and enjoying the sailing
You’re doing great. Have a good lay-day then go out and win.
